Here's something neat -- a fluorescent surfacing material for bike paths, which absorbs sunlight during the day and glows softly at night, to make it easier to navigate. I'd have a lot of questions about how it works (how long the glow lasts, how durable the material is, etc.) but the idea seems marvelous.

I'm trying to get a cheapo USB digital TV tuner called the August DVB-T205 (v2) to work on Ubuntu 12.04 .  The last approach failed but the following post sorted it and I used the ppa mentioned there:

Our new cover photo: what can you find?

This afternoon Google UK uploaded a new cover photograph for our Google+ page.

Last month we asked for your suggestions on what should appear - you'll find many of your ideas have been added to this design.

Whilst it's not a geographical representation of the UK, it does highlight several landmarks, characters and icons from across the country.

What can you find?

You may be able to find a nod to the longitude of the Greenwich meridian too.
